Government Form PDF Tools

The same browser compression engine as the rest of the PDF tools, wrapped in pages named after the document you are submitting rather than a number. Each one arrives with a figure already set: 100 KB on the passport pages, 200 KB for voter card and SSC registration, 300 KB for Aadhaar, PAN and driving licence, and 500 KB for caste, income, scholarship and general job-application uploads. That is a convenience, not an authority — the figure is our starting point and the portal's own instruction page is the thing to trust, which is why every one of these pages lets you change the target before you run it. Because the engine re-renders each page as an image, the output is a picture of your certificate: reliable to upload, no longer searchable. Everything happens inside the tab, so an Aadhaar or PAN scan never leaves your device.

Recommended Workflows in Government Form PDF Tools

⚡ Preparing an identity document for a portal

Confirm the figure on the portal's own upload page -> open the tool named after your document -> adjust the target if the portal says something different -> upload, then read the achieved size next to the target.

⚡ Submitting a certificate under a tight limit

Scan at a sensible resolution rather than the maximum -> drop cover pages and blank backs -> compress once to the stated figure -> read the serial number and the seal at full zoom before submitting.

Best Practices & Practical Tips

  • ✓Check the portal's stated figure yourself. These presets reflect what those uploads commonly ask for, and a limit that changed last month will not have changed here.
  • ✓Inspect the identifiers rather than the layout: serial numbers, QR codes, seals and handwritten dates are what a verifier reads, and they degrade first.
  • ✓Merge a multi-page certificate in the right order before compressing, so the byte budget is spent on the final document rather than on one you rearrange afterwards.
  • ✓Scan at a moderate resolution instead of the highest your scanner offers. A 600 DPI scan of a certificate has to be thrown away again to meet a 300 KB ceiling.
  • ✓Keep the untouched scan for your own records, because the uploaded copy has no text layer and cannot be searched.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ⚠️Uploading a room-lit phone photograph as a document scan. Shadow and uneven lighting are recorded as detail, so the file is both larger and harder to read than a flatbed scan.
  • ⚠️Assuming the number in the page title is the portal's rule. It is a sensible default; the instruction page on the portal is the requirement.
  • ⚠️Compressing before merging. Every page added afterwards pushes the file back over the limit you just met.
  • ⚠️Submitting a file that met the size rule but clipped an edge during cropping. A certificate missing its margin stamp is still a rejected certificate.
  • ⚠️Running the same document through twice for a smaller result. The second pass re-encodes an image that has already lost detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these tools store my Aadhaar or PAN PDF anywhere?

No. The document is read into browser memory, rendered and rebuilt there, and discarded when you close the tab. Nothing is transmitted to a server.

Is the preset figure the official requirement?

No, and it should not be treated as one. It is the figure these uploads usually ask for, offered so you can start immediately. Confirm it on the portal and change the target if it differs.

Can I change the size limit on these pages?

Yes. Once a file is selected, a size selector appears and the target you set there is the one enforced, whatever the page is named.

Will the uploaded PDF still be searchable?

No. Compression works by redrawing each page as an image, so text becomes part of the picture. That is fine for a scanned certificate, which had no text layer to begin with.

What if the tool refuses my document?

It means no combination of quality and scale reached the target, which usually means too many pages. Split or extract the pages the portal actually asked for and try again.

Why does my scanned certificate look worse than the original?

Because meeting a small figure means discarding detail, and a scan is nothing but detail. Reducing the page count or cropping the margins first leaves more of the budget for the text that matters.
