Crypto Profit Calculator – Fast & Accurate

Crypto markets move in seconds, and the profit shown in a portfolio app is rarely the profit you actually keep. Trading fees are charged twice, once when you enter and again when you exit, which quietly raises the price you need just to break even. Our Crypto Profit Calculator rebuilds the full trade from first principles: it converts your capital into an exact coin quantity after the buy fee, values that quantity at your target exit price, removes the sell fee, and reports the true net profit or loss along with ROI, annualised return, break-even price and estimated tax.

Fee-accurate profit engine

Buy-side and sell-side exchange fees are deducted separately, so the profit you see is the amount that actually lands in your wallet.

Break-even price finder

Instantly see the exact price you must sell at just to recover your capital and all trading fees before any real gain begins.

DCA average price calculator

Add unlimited buy lots at different prices and the tool blends them into a single weighted average entry price.

Target profit planner

Set a profit goal like 50% or 2x and the calculator works backwards to the exit price and price move required.

Annualised ROI & tax view

Convert any holding period into an annualised return and estimate tax on gains using your own local rate.

Scenario matrix & export

Compare profit and loss from -75% to +500% price moves, then copy the summary or export the full report as CSV.

The formula behind the calculator

Every result on this page comes from four transparent steps, so you can verify the numbers yourself:

  1. Coins acquired = (Investment − Buy fee) ÷ Buy price. The fee is removed before the purchase, exactly like a spot market order.
  2. Gross exit value = Coins × Sell price, which is the headline number most people stop at.
  3. Net proceeds = Gross exit value − Sell fee, the cash that actually reaches your balance.
  4. Net profit = Net proceeds − Total investment, and ROI = Net profit ÷ Total investment × 100.

The break-even price uses the same logic in reverse: Total cost ÷ (Coins × (1 − sell fee rate)). Annualised ROI applies compounding with the formula (Net proceeds ÷ Cost)365/days − 1, which lets you fairly compare a fast swing trade against a long-term hold.

Who should use this tool

Spot traders use it before placing an order to confirm the reward justifies the fees. Long-term holders use the DCA mode to track their blended cost basis across dozens of small buys. Anyone planning an exit uses the target planner to find the precise price that delivers the profit they want, and the scenario matrix to understand the downside if the market moves against them instead. Because the tool supports multiple currencies including USD, INR, EUR, GBP, AED and BDT, the same workflow applies whether you trade on a global exchange or a local one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is crypto profit calculated?

Profit equals your net exit value minus your total cost. The calculator first removes the buy fee from your capital to find the exact quantity of coins purchased, multiplies that quantity by your sell price, subtracts the sell fee, and then compares the result to what you originally spent.

What is a break-even price in crypto?

The break-even price is the exit price at which you neither profit nor lose after fees. Because both the buy and sell sides charge a fee, the break-even price is always slightly above your entry price, and this tool calculates it exactly.

How does the DCA average price mode work?

Enter each buy as an amount and the price you paid. The calculator divides every amount by its price to find the coins received, totals the coins and the money spent, and divides the two to give a weighted average cost basis rather than a simple price average.

What is ROI and how is annualised ROI different?

ROI is your net profit divided by your total investment as a percentage. Annualised ROI scales that return to a 12-month period using your holding days, so a 10% gain in 30 days looks very different from a 10% gain held over three years.

Does this calculate crypto taxes?

It gives an estimate only. Enter the tax rate that applies to you and the tool applies it to gains only. India currently taxes virtual digital asset gains at a flat 30% plus cess with no loss set-off, while other countries use capital gains slabs, so always confirm with a tax professional.

Can I use this for stocks, forex or gold?

Yes. The underlying maths of entry price, exit price, quantity and percentage fees is identical for equities, commodities and currency trades, so you can use it for any asset by changing the ticker label.

Why does my exchange show a slightly different profit?

Exchanges apply maker versus taker fee tiers, spreads, slippage on market orders, network withdrawal charges and their own rounding. Those variables are trade-specific, so treat this result as a close planning estimate rather than a settlement statement.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. Every calculation runs locally in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded or saved to a server. Avoid entering exchange account numbers or private keys, as no calculator ever needs them.

Solution: Verify whether your lender uses reducing balance method or flat rate, and check for included insurance or fees.

Q: Invoice PDF text clipping

Solution: Keep item descriptions concise and preview on standard A4 page layout before final printing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is reducing-balance EMI calculated?

EMI is computed using the standard formula: E = P × r × (1 + r)^n / ((1 + r)^n - 1), where P is Principal, r is periodic interest rate, and n is number of monthly installments.

Can I save or print the amortization schedule?

Yes, you can export the complete breakdown as a clean PDF or print it directly.

Are tax slab calculations updated for the latest financial year?

Yes, options reflect both New and Old tax regime slab structures for clear side-by-side comparison.
